9/2011 Cursive artist sought (and found) - Welcome to our team, Jill!
Step away from the desk and join the Wicked Crafty Women of Museware Pottery. We're a group of gals designing & creating personalized pottery for weddings, new baby & family celebrations. We love what we do. Record company growth shows our customers do, too.We have an immediate part time opening for a Cursive Artist. This entry level position requires beautiful handwriting, a good eye, strong editing skills and a team attitude. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 to 12ish. Pay starts at $8/hour.Job Requirements:Beautiful Handwriting: The background for 70% of our designs is a personal message handwritten in our signature cursive. An acquired skill, handwriting on unfinished bisque is a challenging task our painters find gratifying once mastered.Proofreading: Ensure that our work says exactly what it's supposed to say. This is not as easy as it sounds. You'd be amazed at how many ways there are to misspell Melissa. Or Jonathan.A Sense of Humor: This is not a traditional work environment. The Crafty Women have strong personalities and a kick-ass work ethic. We swear too much, drink too much coffee and when it gets wicked hot in here, resort to working in our underwear. You don't have to (Leslie refuses) but the option is one you may consider. Summer heat + kilns firing = HOT.A Winning Attitude: Arrive on time (even when it snows) and be ready to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Be willing to learn or do anything & we won't want to live without you. We all wear many hats.Flexibility: Because we are always under deadline, getting the job done might mean an occasional early or late day.Tell us about yourself by filling out our on-line application. It's not like most applications, but we aren't like most small companies. Work with us and you'll have a job that's challenging, evolving and flexible. We're a growing company and manage that growth only through a team effort.On-line ApplicationAfter sending the application, please send a cover letter in your own, natural handwriting to:Nicole Rivet, Museware Pottery, 21 W.
