Q. What is your return policy?
A. Personalized gifts are hand painted to order and cannot be returned. Please review your request carefully before placing your order & contact us immediately with errors. Orders cannot be canceled once they go into production. Museware Pottery is not responsible for your spelling errors or other errors.
Q. How long will it take to get my order?
A. During peak times, orders typically ship three weeks from the date of your order. Current shipping information is listed on the top of each page and is updated daily. Please see the shipping page for a transit time to your ship-to address. Rush service, when available, is subject to a $12 rush fee. Please contact us with your deadline before making a rush request.
Q. How is Museware Pottery made?
A. Our pottery is hand painted on unfinished, white earthenware. Many of our images are reproduced using hand carved stamps, some with stamps found in the retail marketplace. Each piece receives a light coat of black splatter before being fired to a glossy, food safe finish. Due to the handmade nature of our product, no two pieces are exactly alike. Crooked letters, slight differences in pottery dimension, paint color, image placement and composition are common characteristics of a hand made product.
Q. What color choices are available?
A. Our designs are produced in three subtle color palettes. Each palette is a combination of three colors. 1. Neutral (flesh tone, butterscotch & gray) 2. Blue (sage green, teal and blue) 3. Green (ocher, sage green and gray-green.) A Pink color scheme (purple and light & dark pinks) is available for the baby collection only.
Q. Do you include a gift cards with your pottery?
A. At your request , we will include a brief hand written note on the back of our beautiful, high gloss post cards. Also, at no additional charge, we will include a brief hand written note on the back of most pieces before firing. Example: "Congratulations! Love, The Smith Family." Please limit your message to 7 words or 40 characters. Messages are not available on photo frames, or on some small plates. An artist card containing a brief company history and care instructions is included with each piece of Museware Pottery.
Q. Do you gift wrap?
A. Gift wrap is not available, but we think you'll be pleased with a recent change in our packing materials. In September 2009, we ended our long standing relationship with bubble wrap and hateful peanuts. Each piece of Museware Pottery now comes wrapped in Geami - a reusable, recyclable and compost able Kraft paper product. This new product allows us to use less materials and smaller boxes which are more suitable for your gift wrap. Please reuse this fabulous material to wrap out of season dinnerware, holiday decor & ornaments & suggest the same to your customers. To learn more about Geami, visit their web site at www.geami.com.
Q. How should we care for our pottery?
A. Our pottery is made with lead free, non toxic materials and is food and dishwasher safe. While we do not recommend microwaves as they are tough on pottery, we put our mugs in the microwave all the time. Because over-sized items can chip in the dishwasher, hand washing large platters and especially Signature Platers is recommended. Avoid use in a conventional oven.
